I reckon everyone that was friends with them already knows, but Shino and Yumi have both gone. A whole bunch of their pokemon turned up here with me.

[He'd left it a few days to see if they showed up again, but nope. Ah well. Moving on- Naruto grins at the Pokegear.]

Next week's my birthday, y'know! We're gonna have a party in Goldenrod, so who's coming?? [If you are friends with Naruto, consider yourself as having an invite. Even if you have only spoken a couple times he probably counts you as a friend too, so again, consider yourself as having an invite. If you are a stranger but ask politely, you will probably also get an invite.]

It's gonna be on the Tenth, 'cause that's when my birthday is! And it's in Goldenrod since that's where we're going this week for that fighting tournament thingy.

Oh yeah! Who else is taking part in that? I'm definitely going!

The fighting tournament? I can't really participate, but a friend of mine is going, so I'll be there watching.

Why can't you take part in it?

Well, for one, I've never learned how to fight on my own. Mostly because, well...look at me.

[Ah, he gets that, sort of. He knows plenty who relied more on ninjutsu or whatever than actual combat.]

Magic? You mean like spells and stuff, yeah?

Exactly. Though a few of my abilities weren't really spells per se. That's hard to explain properly without being able to show them off, though.

Anyway, I guess I could start learning here if I really wanted to... Saber and Xion would probably be willing to teach me. But there's no way I'd be ready for a tournament so quickly even if I did that.

Was it like chakra? 'Cause we could use ninjutsu, which wasn't spells, but when I tell people about it they say it's kinda like magic.

[She's right though, it would be a lot easier if they could just demonstrate their abilities.]

Maybe you can watch the tournament and learn things from it? Especially when there's people taking part that are pretty good at fighting. [Like him!]

Well, I'm no ninja, and the energy I use is called prana, not chakra, so no, not really. But it might be similar.

Hmmm, well I was already going to watch Xion fight, but I guess that's something else I could do while I'm there. [She's not really sure if she actually will, but it's nice to have the option.]

Oh! You know Xion? I know 'em too, we hung out for a while back when she showed up here.

Oh, of course, you must be one of those ninjas she was with. Sorry to steal her away like I did, but I needed a traveling partner.

Yeah, that's me! It's okay though, we all ended up going off our own ways anyway.
