Hey, hey! Look what I got!

[A beaming smile can be seen on camera before it is replaced with a view of badges- all eight from the Johto region, in fact. After they linger there for a moment, the case gets closed up and put away, as Naruto turns the PokeGear to focus properly on himself.]

I just got the last badge here! That means I'm half way done already, and just in time! Me and Sakura-chan are probably gonna head to that Kanto place after the party. Is it any different to being here? Any cool pokemon we've gotta look out for?

Everyone's going tomorrow, right? To that party! You should- I went last year and we had loads of fun!

[Greetings, Route! The blond ninja is hanging out on the outskirts of Goldenrod City, Gama-chan his faithful Politoed hopping along beside him.]

Hey!

If anyone knew this guy called Kakashi- he was a ninja like me, weird grey hair, kinda bratty- well I'm pretty sure he ain't here anymore.

Y'know how people come here from different times, have you ever met anyone here who was way younger or older than they're meant to be? 'Cause Kakashi-sensei, right? When he was here he was fourteen I think! But the real Kakashi-sensei is.. I dunno... thirty or forty or something. Yeah. It's weird.

[He looks thoughtful for a moment before moving as if to turn the Pokegear off, when he stops suddenly.]

Oh, yeah! How do you reckon some Pokemon are made? Tenten showed me this one today that looks like ice cream. How'd you get a ice cream pokemon? Do you think you can get other pokemon that look like food? Hah, maybe there's a ramen one!

I said Itachi can travel with me, and we're gonna leave Goldenrod today and go up towards Ecruteak. What are you guys doing? Are you staying there, or do you wanna come up here? I wanna do the Gym badges on the way back to Cianwood!

[The Pokegear switches on and for a moment it seems to be capturing a shot of… the sky.]

--Wait, wait.

[It turns around and then there is not one but two Naruto’s on screen.]

Hey, guess what?! I found me! Not like… a clone me. A real me!

Still kinda weird.

[Not that this Naruto can stay disgruntled for very long, not when there’s so much to do.]

Found some other stuff, too. Turn the thing-- show ‘em!

Oh yeah!

[The Pokegear moves once again, this time settling on a group of ~~NINJA FROGS~~ Greninja sat behind them, being all… frog-like. And ninja-like.

Here I am with my ninja clan. Ninja clan, here we stand.]

Look, look! Ninja Frogs! Loads of ‘em. How many can we have?

Six! But you can catch more, and they go in your box thingy.

I reckon everyone that was friends with them already knows, but Shino and Yumi have both gone. A whole bunch of their pokemon turned up here with me.

[He'd left it a few days to see if they showed up again, but nope. Ah well. Moving on- Naruto grins at the Pokegear.]

Next week's my birthday, y'know! We're gonna have a party in Goldenrod, so who's coming?? [If you are friends with Naruto, consider yourself as having an invite. Even if you have only spoken a couple times he probably counts you as a friend too, so again, consider yourself as having an invite. If you are a stranger but ask politely, you will probably also get an invite.]

It's gonna be on the Tenth, 'cause that's when my birthday is! And it's in Goldenrod since that's where we're going this week for that fighting tournament thingy.

Oh yeah! Who else is taking part in that? I'm definitely going!

[Action]

[It is early in the evening when he finally begins to stir. A hand slowly reaches up to rub at tired eyes as they blink into focus, Naruto staring up at the ceiling above him. Immediately he frowns as memories of new and old jumble together. It had felt like a dream, though it couldn't have been. Why didn't he have chakra? Oh yeah- Johto.

Feeling the presence of someone else in the room distracts him as he turns his head to the side, immediately greeted with the sight of long, flowing red hair.]

....So when are we going to Violet? [You hit hard enough to knock him out Mom, he'll concede this time.]

[Video]

[A little time later the Pokegear shows Naruto sat on a bed as an excitable Carnivine is wrapped around his shoulders, happily chewing on his head once again. Some things never change!]

So--yeah. I guess that thing happened to me, y'know, when people fall asleep and have the dreams? But they're not real dreams? [Descriptive as always. On that subject though, there are some people he wants to talk to. He should probably send them some private messages.]

Oi Neji. Sasuke. I wanna talk to you guys.

[...Or just do it that way instead. He has a pretty serious look about him for once, so they should probably get in contact with him.]

[With a huff he moves around and attempts to unwrap the Carnivine from around him. Since he has it on, he may as well ask that question he had before the coma stuff happened.]

I'm still gonna go check out that dragon place up here, the one Tenten told me about. What's the best dragon type out there? I have Ryūka-chan already, she's a Charizard now and she's grown really strong.

[It's late in the evening and thankfully Naruto is not yelling through the Pokegear for once. In fact he isn't anywhere near as energetic as he usually is.]

Y'know when you can't contact someone on the Pokegear thingies and some of their Pokemon have been sat in your room starin' at you most the evening, that usually means the person's gone right?

[The Pokegear feed's point of view is a little wobbly as it switches on, the reason soon becoming apparent as Gama-chan, Naruto's Politoed appears on the screen with a whole bunch of little Poliwags behind him.

Suddenly looking excited about something he begins to hop along, the gang of Pokemon following him as he turns the camera around to focus it on Naruto.]

--Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!

[Suddenly, instead of one Naruto, there are a whole group of them.]

Yosh! Right, everyone's gotta take a pokemon and some Pokeballs, we're gonna have a Poke-Battle Royale! The me that catches the most Pokemon is the ultimate me and gets the last bowl of Mom's home-cooked ramen! Time to decide on the best of the best!

Ready..... GO!

[After a lot of cheering from the group of clones, they all rush off to pick all but one of the Poliwags and scatter in various directions, leaving the original Naruto in his original spot.]

C'mon Gama-chan, Gamikichi! It'll be embarrassing if the original loses to his clones!

[ooc note: The original Naruto is on Route 31 just outside of Violet, but you can run into his clones all over the place.]

[Today's video is brought to you by a certain blond ninja, sitting on Cianwood's beach.]

Hey, hey!

Has anyone here ever been, y'know, injured by one of their pokemon? Not accidentally, I mean on purpose!

'Cause I have this one and... [Moving the pokegear slightly, you can see this Banette behind him. It isn't doing anything, just standing there. Staring. And grinning. Urgh, just looking at it again is giving him the creeps!]

....I've had it for weeks now and it won't quit staring at me like that. It doesn't say anything either, just follows me around looking like that. It's got to be planning something awful!

Oh yeah-- Also! If you've got a pokemon that keeps stealing stuff from other people but you had nothing to do with it, you can't get into trouble for it, right? I put the stuff back! Er, I mean I would. If I had a pokemon that did that sort of thing. But I don't!

[A nervous chuckle before he cuts the feed. Naruto you have two of them like that..]

[The video function switches on, the screen once again filled up entirely of Naruto as he’s peering at the thing, poking around at various buttons and settings as he tries to make it switch on, not aware that it’s already recording. With a sigh he leans back, finally allowing the background to come into view.

It... looks rather like some sort of jail cell, honestly.]

Oh man, I’m so booooored. How long’ve we got to stay in here?

[There’s a voice from offscreen, low and even and thoroughly pissed.]

Had you not acted so recklessly on your own we wouldn’t even be here... Naruto.

Nobody asked you to come, Shino. I can’t believe they have us in here doing their dirty dishes! They don’t even feed us properly!

You should have known I would follow. Why? Because you were in a foreign situation by yourself, prematurely left your job and… that is what comrades do. [A pause. Not that anyone else can see, but he's sulking from his little dark corner of their cell.] If you brought Yumi and myself along, you may have had more success.

And I’m grateful that you did, but you don’t have to be so... you about it all!

[It’s clear that he’s not really focusing on what Shino’s saying, instead preoccupied with the Pokegear as he fiddles with it some more.]

Hey... this working yet?

Hm? What are you... [Yet another pause. In Shino terms, it's almost horrified.]

Well we can’t sit in here forever! I’m going to find someone to get us out of here!

… Naruto! Give me tha–

[The display is a blurry mass of neutral grey-greens and one orange blob as Shino suddenly crosses the distance of their cell, attempting to wrestle the device off him.]

Oi, Shino! SHI-

[Mid-sentence, the video cuts off.]

((ooc: so yeah. they totally ended up being arrested after naruto skipped his job to go and find Sasuke.))

[The video feed switches on to provide a blurred close up on someone's face. The user moves back slowly, allowing the image to come into focus as it shows a blond teenager sat on the ground, eying the device suspiciously.]

Hey- This thing even on? [A tap on the screen, the teen sighs, exasperated, before looking over to the Poliwag sat beside him.]

You know how to make this work?

[Silence.]

....Didn't think so. Maybe we just...

[Grumbling again as he shuffles in his spot, Naruto holds out the Pokegear a little further as he puts on one of his biggest, brightest smiles.]

Uzumaki Naruto, reporting for duty! Hehe. So, I really need to get home, everyone is counting on me, but the weird lady who thinks she's my Mom said I can't, so since I'm here I'm going to get all the badges and have everyone acknowledge me as the greatest Pokemon trainer there is, you'd better believe it!

[He hops up to his feet, facing the Poliwag once again.] C'mon Gama-chan! Training starts now!

[His speech is interrupted by the loud growling of an empty stomach.] Er... after we eat, that is. Does this place have ramen?
