010- Video

Hey, hey! Look what I got!

[A beaming smile can be seen on camera before it is replaced with a view of badges- all eight from the Johto region, in fact. After they linger there for a moment, the case gets closed up and put away, as Naruto turns the PokeGear to focus properly on himself.]

I just got the last badge here! That means I'm half way done already, and just in time! Me and Sakura-chan are probably gonna head to that Kanto place after the party. Is it any different to being here? Any cool pokemon we've gotta look out for?

[And speaking of the pokeprom:]

Everyone's going tomorrow, right? To that party! You should- I went last year and we had loads of fun!

So the prize money really does keep going up as you go. Who could say no to that? I just hope it's the same in Kanto, too.

[personal profile] believeit 2014-04-11 06:58 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's a lot once you get to the last few.

[As for kanto though..]

If you're doing the harder ones- someone said you fight a bunch of level one hundreds- then the rewards have gotta be bigger too, yeah?

[personal profile] captainash 2014-04-11 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I hope so. Can you imagine defeating an overpowered team after weeks of training, only to be told 'Congratulations! You've won P5000 and the right to use Fly! Again.'? Disappointment of the year, right there.
believeit: (these are keywords)

[personal profile] believeit 2014-04-11 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, tell me about it! I mean, it's not like I need the money but it should still be worthwhile, y'know?

I guess I'll find out when I get out there, though. Me and Sakura-chan are gonna go do them together.
captainash: (happy)

[personal profile] captainash 2014-04-11 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? That sounds great. You'll be doing it for the sake of earning them together, or as a competition to motivate yourselves?

[personal profile] believeit 2014-04-16 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
So we can do them together.

[There's a slight pause as he smiles softly at the thought of it. A lot of their friends had left, but the fact that Sakura wanted to stay with him was enough.]

She just came back again so she's not got any. She's gonna do the regular Kanto badges while I do the hard ones, then we're probably gonna buy a house and live there or something!

Planning for the long term, are you? That sounds great, though. You can even compare the strategies the Gym leaders use with their different teams, and look for good neighborhoods along the way.

[personal profile] believeit 2014-04-16 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah! We're teammates back home, so it will be kinda nice doing the same thing here y'know? Working together and all that.
captainash: (happy)

[personal profile] captainash 2014-04-17 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
It sure sounds like it will be. It's too bad you can't ask the leaders for a two-against-one battle for the badges. Though I guess the power difference between your teams would make that complicated.
believeit: <user name=dobe_teme site=livejournal.com> (i have an idea!)

[personal profile] believeit 2014-04-17 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah it would now, but if you just had to use level one hundreds? Battling as a duo would be pretty fun don't you think?

[He wants to try it now.]

Especially with someone you hang out with a lot, and your pokemons are already friends and work well together.
captainash: (confident)

[personal profile] captainash 2014-04-17 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
As a bonus, you could try to convince two Gym leaders to participate at the same time. Two comrades that have raised their Pokémon together as a team, versus two expert trainers that have been doing this for years and could cover each other's type weaknesses? Half the people around here would even pay to watch it.
believeit: (i can see the bullshit from here)

[personal profile] believeit 2014-04-21 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
You know what, I'm gonna try it! An even if they say no, I bet there's other people out here like us who'd want to try battling against people as a team.

Someone should talk about it on the pokegear thingy!
captainash: (smiling)

[personal profile] captainash 2014-04-21 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
And create some sort of team-battling group? That could be fun. Getting everyone in the same town to fight would be a pain, though. Even for those who can fly.
believeit: <user name=dobe_teme site=livejournal.com> (well you see..)

[personal profile] believeit 2014-04-24 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah it would, especially if some were here in Johto and some in Kanto. But maybe if it just happened once in a while and people could travel- or they just meet up on their own when they are close by, I dunno.

I just thought it sounded interesting.
captainash: (happy)

[personal profile] captainash 2014-04-26 02:59 pm (UTC)(link)
It does. And if people are willing to get together for tomorrow's party, they'd surely be willing to do so for other activities.
believeit: <user name=dobe_teme site=livejournal.com> (heh!)

[personal profile] believeit 2014-04-28 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, you're right. I might try some it day! Not yet though, 'cause I don't know where I'm gonna be.
captainash: (confident)

[personal profile] captainash 2014-04-28 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Choose your location well. No one is ever going to come if it happens on the Ice Path.
believeit: <user name=dobe_teme site=livejournal.com> (he wouldnt do that)

[personal profile] believeit 2014-05-01 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
Of course it won't be somewhere dumb like that! I'm thinking like... one of the towns. Yeah.
captainash: (smiling)

[personal profile] captainash 2014-05-01 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Somewhere with enough space for battles, and for everyone to mingle once they're done?
believeit: <user name=dobe_teme site=livejournal.com> (hmmm...)

[personal profile] believeit 2014-05-03 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah!

...I dunno about many places like that though, except like the Gyms y'know? Or out in the open somewhere.
captainash: (thinking)

[personal profile] captainash 2014-05-04 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
...This world's sport teams should have facilities large enough to host groups of trainers, but whether they'd be willing to rent them is another story.
believeit: <user name=dobe_teme site=livejournal.com> (listening)

[personal profile] believeit 2014-05-05 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
You think? I haven't gone to watch any sports here except pokemon battles, so I dunno what they're like. Reckon it would be expensive?
captainash: (neutral)

[personal profile] captainash 2014-05-05 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
That probably depends on the sport and the season. If their championships take place during the summer, their facilities would be cheaper in late fall or winter. Unless they're practicing.
