[It's late in the evening and thankfully Naruto is not yelling through the Pokegear for once. In fact he isn't anywhere near as energetic as he usually is.]

Y'know when you can't contact someone on the Pokegear thingies and some of their Pokemon have been sat in your room starin' at you most the evening, that usually means the person's gone right?

Hey, Naruto. Guess what. [Time to just distract you with completely dumb things discovered in a kitchen at 4 am.] You can make pancakes with cake batter.

[Food is always a good deterrent.]

What, really?

Yeah, man. Would I ever lie to you? This is some straight up magic that has to be shared. News has to travel far and wide that you can chow down on cake in the early morning with a side of juice and maybe some syrup on top. Dunno what your favorite way to wolf down flapjacks is.

I never cooked pancakes before, but they're good, and sometimes I like cake, so.. [Thinking. May have to try it and not burn down the kitchen.]

...Do you think ramen pancakes would work?

[There's a long moment of silence. This is either a genius idea, or utterly terrible.] ....I have no idea.
