[It's late in the evening and thankfully Naruto is not yelling through the Pokegear for once. In fact he isn't anywhere near as energetic as he usually is.]

Y'know when you can't contact someone on the Pokegear thingies and some of their Pokemon have been sat in your room starin' at you most the evening, that usually means the person's gone right?

[Minato had been gone all day, searching through the city, down the routes- as far as he felt comfortable going, anyway, in case he needed to return to the Inn quickly to see...

She still wasn't there.

It wasn't until the sun had gone down that he'd decided to stop (for today. just for today) and head back, carrying a bag with a few bottles of sake instead of dinner.

He wasn't in any state to be cooking and acting like everything was fine, and there was food at the Inn. The kids could take care of themselves. Today. Just for today.

Still, after he'd put the alcohol away in his (their) room and given himself a few hard stares in the mirror (get your shit together), Minato quietly made his way down the hall to Naruto's room, two Luxray following closely behind him, occasionally headbutting his side. Encouraging.]

Naruto?

[A few knocks, but he wouldn't open the door or go inside until his son invited him to.]

Did you already have dinner?

[Atsuro already knows what this means when he saw this post.]

Yeah, that's right. If you can't call them and have their Pokemon with you or in the PC under your name, that means they're no longer in Johto.

Yeah, that's what it means. Sorry dude.

[He's gong to come looking for you to peek in on you. There wasn't much of anything to say, given that Naruto already seemed to have figured out the situation, but... he could show a little support.]

I have one of her pokemon too. You going to be okay Naruto?

[Rude...actually did not know that.]

[ When it comes to losing parents, Sakura's not able to speak from experience. She's fortunate enough to have both of her own waiting for her at home (she firmly believes until she's told otherwise), so she's not sure how it must feel to be Naruto. Having been quick to volunteer to hunt her down when they first noticed she was missing, she's kept herself away from her teammate's side.

(She's such a coward to behave this way, isn't she?)

It was easy enough to ignore the pain of guilt that plagued her mind when she was apart from him and not able to hear it in his voice. Now she's not able to concentrate and so it's time for a break.

(Or maybe this was the break and now she needs to return to supporting him.)

Apprehension seeps into her eyes, wide and with a hint of blue within them, as she stares at the PokeGear. Shouldn't she say something by now? ]

Yeah, it does. [ Instead of sugarcoating it, she just says what he likely doesn't want to hear. ]

That's the general consensus.

[She looks... upset, but she's trying to hide it. She was never terribly close to Kushina herself, but someone going home -- let alone a family member -- is obviously Not A Good Thing.

Do you know, did she have a Gyarados? Naed Ketsui? She showed up in my box, and I'm not sure who else she could have come from....

Yeah. That sounds right.

[ All he gets is a voice. Ironically, although Naruto is quiet, Tsunade isn't. She saw the video and, even if she could respond through it, she doesn't see the point in that when she can just yell upstairs. ]
