[It is early in the evening when he finally begins to stir. A hand slowly reaches up to rub at tired eyes as they blink into focus, Naruto staring up at the ceiling above him. Immediately he frowns as memories of new and old jumble together. It had felt like a dream, though it couldn't have been. Why didn't he have chakra? Oh yeah- Johto.

Feeling the presence of someone else in the room distracts him as he turns his head to the side, immediately greeted with the sight of long, flowing red hair.]

....So when are we going to Violet? [You hit hard enough to knock him out Mom, he'll concede this time.]

[A little time later the Pokegear shows Naruto sat on a bed as an excitable Carnivine is wrapped around his shoulders, happily chewing on his head once again. Some things never change!]

So--yeah. I guess that thing happened to me, y'know, when people fall asleep and have the dreams? But they're not real dreams? [Descriptive as always. On that subject though, there are some people he wants to talk to. He should probably send them some private messages.]

Oi Neji. Sasuke. I wanna talk to you guys.

[...Or just do it that way instead. He has a pretty serious look about him for once, so they should probably get in contact with him.]

[With a huff he moves around and attempts to unwrap the Carnivine from around him. Since he has it on, he may as well ask that question he had before the coma stuff happened.]

I'm still gonna go check out that dragon place up here, the one Tenten told me about. What's the best dragon type out there? I have Ryūka-chan already, she's a Charizard now and she's grown really strong.

[Tenten'll wait a bit, after it seems like most everyone else has gotten out of the way, before finally making her way to talk to the older rookie, one hand resting on her hip, obvious relief in her eyes.]

About time you woke up. Neji made us fly all the way back from where I was going to challenge Seafoam 'cause of you.

[She flicks a hand in the air without looking away as something hardens in her gaze.]

So what's happening, in the future? That's what happened, isn't it?

[Sob Tenten why did you have to mention Neji again? He still hasn't come to terms with that yet, but he is certain she does not know yet.]

Just.... war stuff y'know? We were all fighting still.

[Obviously leaving out some pretty major details here, but it isn't his place to say. Not yet.]

I don't know, though, I haven't been there.

[And maybe it doesn't show so well on her face, but she's kind of scared of if -- or at this point, it seems more like when -- it happens to her.]

Are we winning? What about Sasuke? Why do you need to talk to Neji?

I think we're winning. I mean, yeah, of course we are! it's just not.. over yet? Though I think we might have taken out one of the guys [Obito] before I woke up.

Do you think if I go back to sleep, I can remember the rest?!

[It's a valid question he has, but really he is just trying to stall. Another silence. This is hard.]

A lot of stuff's been going on, it's hard to just.. answer it all like that y'know?

[That silence from the noisy rookie is making her more nervous. With everything that she's heard of, it can't be good.]

Maybe if I knock you out, it'll work, [she answers, though she only returns her hand to her hip to meet his eyes again. Which should she ask about first? She wants to know about Sasuke, but Neji's her teammate...]

Just tell me whatever you were going to tell those two.

But Tenten it's...

[Sigh. Man what is it with pushy females in this canon!]

How much do you know already? About Sasuke, or about the war? [Let's start there.]

[Because when ladies finally get screentime, they have to make the most of it!]

I know there's been an alliance. All the villages uniting against... Uchiha Madara, right? And then Sasuke... [She's visibly uncomfortable at that mention, crossing her arms instead of the more aggressive hands-on-hips.] He went with Orochimaru to try to get power. Abandoned the village, killed his brother, and then learned that Itachi wasn't... that he was working for the village all along.

Yeah, that's more or less it.

[Another huff. He doesn't feel comfortable talking about the Neji thing just yet, but as for Sasuke. That's good news, right? Everyone should know.]

Sasuke's joined us in fighting against those guys.

He did?

[Wow, do you see how thrilled she is? A wide smile nearly splits her face as her hands drop to her side again.]

I knew he would! But after the fighting's over, is anyone going to try to hurt him...?

He did!

[Good, you should be. Sasuke won't be when he finds out Naruto is telling everyone though.]

Why would they do that? He's not an enemy anymore.

[She sags enough with relief that she almost might fall to the floor. She rubs her face quickly with both hands to try to get herself together, giving him the brightest smile she could.]

That's-- that's amazing. Even if stuff doesn't get changed when we go back, he still...

[Okay get it together, girl. She exhales and shakes her head, still beaming, and asks,] So what about Neji, then?

Yeah. He's probably gonna be mad I told people about though 'cause you know. It's Sasuke.

[Shit, he hoped she would not ask about that.]

...It was just war stuff, okay? Like-- the fighting and stuff. I just wanted to talk to him about something that happened out there.

Sasuke gets mad at pretty much everything though.

[She can't help but sound a little fond at it, though, because at least he didn't get mad that she kissed him? She frowns at him and puffs a cheek out with annoyance that he's dodging it.]

Well, tell me about it, then. I'd ask him myself, but you know he wouldn't tell me. Don't keep me in the dark, here.

Yeah, he does. Then he gets mad when you tell him he's being mad for no reason.

[Sigh. Sasuke.]

It's... not my place to, alright? If he wants you to know, you're gonna have to ask him.

[Naruto, you promised not to say anything, suggesting something is wrong also counts you know...]

[There goes the last of her smile.]

...Is it something bad?

Tenten it's just. War stuff, okay? Everything that's happening there is bad. But I'm not gonna talk about it if he doesn't want me to. You know what he's like.

I do, that's why I didn't ask him. He'd probably just scoff and try to pass it off as 'Hyuuga business' and not tell me anything.

[Tenten that's the Neji from your canon-point...]

I feel like I'm always playing catch-up with the intel around here. It's not fair.

[Aww Tenten, come on. Don't make him feel bad.]

Just go talk to him, yeah? I think it's best.

[If it gets her the info... but fine, you win for now, Naruto.]

...If he won't tell me, will you? I don't want to be the only one who doesn't know what's going on around here.

<small.[Maybe. He thinks everything happening should be out in the open, keeping secrets only leads to drama and hurt feelings later on.]

[She points at him, though.]

[And she's on her way out the door before pausing and glancing back just long enough to add,] By the way, good to have you back, rookie.

Yeah, I know.

[Neji probably won't say anything.]
